MOVIE REVIEW: WAR FOR THE PLANET OF APES

After the previous two parts doing exceptionally well worldwide in the entertainment industry the expectations from this part were even high before the release of the movie "WAR FOR THE PLANET OF APES".

STARRING: Amiah Miller, Andy Serkis, Karin Konoval, Michael Adamthwaite, Steve Zahn, Terry Notary, Ty Olssun, Woody Harrelson

Directed By Matt Reeves

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes found themselves in a huge conflict with an army of humans led by a daunting colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his never give up skills in order to avenge his kind.

In the end both the colonel and Caesar come face to face in a final battle which will decide the fate of both the species.

Two years after the events of dawn, Caesar and his clans are at war with a human military known as alpha-Omega.

Caesar and his clan hide in the woods and agree for peace if the humans leave them in solace, but the matter worsens when various apes, including Gorilla red, have joined the Alpha Omega after being annoyed by Caesar's leadership.

As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

When Caesar comes to know that the human military is led by Colonel McCollough who is very mysterious, he plans to move his clan across the desert.

Just the night before their journey, the ape home is attacked and Caesar's wife and eldest son are killed by the Colonel and his troops, leaving only his youngest son alive. The story continues on these lines and ends with a fierce battle between Caesar and the colonel for survival of their respective clans.

War For The Planet Of Apes draws a decent $56M opening. In the world of cinema it is incredibly rare that the sequel of the film overpowers the preceding parts. It combines breathtaking special effects and a powerful, poignant narrative to conclude this rebooted trilogy on a powerful and truly blockbuster note.

I would highly recommend the viewers to go watch the film in cinemas if they don’t want to miss out on the spectacular sound and effects which the movie delivers.

With its gripping drama, biblical comparison and a powerful performance from Andy Serkin holds the film strongly and gloriously brings the tale of its protagonist a full circle from where it all began.

Though it is considered to be one of the best films this summer still it is for much mature kids say 11 and above. It’s a spectacular, thrilling time at the movies.

In my view I feel that the film may have divided certain audiences, as it has completely changed from something it was in 2011’s Rise of the Planet Of Apes, but in order to show progression and to deliver on emotion, I truly think that the makers couldn’t have done a better ending.

I won’t overhype the film but it is my favorite part of the three and for what purpose it has set out to accomplish, it’s a must watch if you go by my word. You can go watch this film with your family or friends.
