About Swami Vivekananda Scholarship

Scheme: Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minorities

Offered by: West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (A statutory Corporation under Minority Affairs &Madrasha Education Department, Government of West Bengal).

Objective: To support meritorious students from financially poor families.

Meant for: The scholarship is meant for students of Class 11 and above.

Eligibility Criteria

The following minority community, students are eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  1. Students who are of West Bengal domicile and are studying in this state.
  2. Students who are at the Higher Secondary level or Diploma must have at least 75% marks in 10th excluding optional subjects.
  3. Students who are at the undergraduate level must have at least 75% marks in 12th including two language subjects on five subjects.
  4. Students who are at postgraduate level must have at least 55% marks in graduation in general education or engineering.
  5. Students who are from a family whose annual family income is INR 250000 or less.

Documents Required

Please ensure that you upload all the required documents. Failure to upload any document or uploading incorrect/fake documents can lead to the rejection of the scholarship application. Here is the list of the required documents:

  1. Both sides of the Mark sheet of the last examination.
  2. Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
  3. Income certificate in the prescribed format.
  4. The first page of the bank passbook mentioning clearly the A/C number and IFSC details.
  5. Voter Id/Aadhaar card etc.
  6. Recent Photograph (size must between 100 to 120 KB).
  7. Institute verification forms duly authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI) in the prescribed format.
